1.
All teams may include players who are currently in school year 10 (inclusive) for under 15 games, and school year 7
(inclusive) for under 12 games.
2. No team to include a player who has played for another club during the current years
competition, or who is not a regular member of the club.
3. The maximum number of teams for each league to remain at 8 per league.
4. Each team
will play the other twice in the league, home and away.
5. Each match will be played with both teams batting and bowling for a maximum of 20 overs.
6. No bowler to bowl more than 4
overs each.

The team batting second can make a decision when passing the oppositions total whether to complete the full 20 overs.
8. A
4 ¾oz ball must be used for all matches.
9. The pitch length will be 20 yards from stump to stump, except under
15,s which will be 22 yards.
10. All players must wear helmets for batting and wicket keeping during the match and also when practicing
or warming -up for a match.
11. All umpires/ managers must make sure that fielders are 8 yards for the under 15’s and 11 yards for
the under 12’s away from striking batsman at all times.
12. Wides, no balls and deliveries above waist height
on the full (full toss) carry a two run penalty with no extra ball, except in last over of innings when the extra ball and
a two run penalty will apply.
13. Balls bowled ,bouncing more than twice between popping crease will be deemed no ball
with two run penalty.
14. Any team playing an illegible player will be deducted 20 points.
15. The League Competition shall be decided by a points
and average system. The total number of points gained by each club shall be divided by the number of completed matches played
to produce its average.
In each league the club with the highest average shall be adjudged the winner. In the event of two clubs finishing
with the same average, the club with the greater number of wins shall be the higher placed. If both clubs have the same number
of wins, their respective positions shall be determined by the result of matches between those clubs, alternatively ( if not
decisive) by the number of points gained by each club in those matches. The two top clubs to contest a final in both leagues.
16. 20 points shall be awarded to
the winning side. Losing sides shall receive bonus points as follows.
Batting = 1 point for 40 completed runs, 2 points for 60, 3 points
for 80, 4 points for 100, 5 points for 120.
Bowling= 1 point 2 wkts, 2 points 4 wkts, 3 points 6 wkts, 4 points 8 wkts, and 5 points for
10 wkts to fall. In the event of a side with fewer than 11 players being all out, maximum bowling points shall be awarded.
In the event of a tie, each side shall receive five points plus bonus points.
17.a. In the event of a team failing to fulfill a fixture for any
reason other than bad weather, fixture to be recorded as played with no points gained, opponents to be awarded 20 points.
17.b. Second and subsequent offences
a penalty of 10 points deducted.
17.c. In the event of bad weather canceling a match, clubs may rearrange the fixture to be played at an
agreed date between the clubs. If no alternative fixture date can be agreed the match will be voided and no points will be
awarded and averages will not be affected by the cancellation.
18. Managers to decide depending on weather and light if a game is to be
abandoned, if abandoned the match shall be considered void, and no points awarded.
19. Home Clubs will be deducted 5 points for failing to e-mail
result within one week of match being played or to confirm match being cancelled .
20. On reaching 25 runs (U 12’s) or 50 runs (U15’s) a
batsman must retire as not out and may not return to the crease to continue their innings. If a batsman is retired the bowling
side cannot receive maximum bowling points. Rule 20 will be adopted for both leagues finals matches.
21. Spirit of Cricket. The spirit of cricket is to
be observed by all players, umpires and officials and it shall be the responsibility of the clubs to ensure that sportsmanship
and fair play are observed both on and off the pitch at all times.
22. If any matter arises that is not dealt within these rules, it is
to be referred to the competition chairman.
