This page is about the Hugh Craig Invitation Cup competition. The cup competition was set up by Mick Kemp in the 1990's and is still going strong to date. Teams from the surrounding area's get invited to play in the competition. There are 2 League's, Under 15's (max school year 10) and Under 12's (max school year 7). On this page you will find all the fixtures for both age groups. results and rules. Hugh Craig Colts Invitation Cup 2008 Rules

1. All teams may include players who are currently in school year 10(inclusive) for under 15 games, and school year 7 (inclusive) for under 12 games.

2. No Team to include a player who has played for another club during the current year competition, or who is not a regular member of the club.

3. the maximum number for teams for eachleague to remain 8 per game .

4. each team will play the other twice in the league, home and away.

5. Each match will be played with both teams batting and bowling for a maximum of 20 overs.

6. No bowler to bowl more than 4 overs each.

7. The team batting second will continue the innings untill all 10 wickets are lost or have received 20 overs regardless of passing the oppositions total.

8. A 4 3/4oz ball must be used for all matches.

9. The pitch length will be 20 yards from stump to stump, except under 15's which will be 22 yards stump to stump.

10. all players must wear helmets for batting and wicket keeping during the match and also when practising or walming up for a match.

11. All umpires/managers/coaches must make sure that fielders that are 8 yards for under 15's and 11 yards for under 12's away from the striking batsman at all times.

12. Wides, no balls and deliveries above waist height onthe full (full toss) carry a two run penalty with no extra ball, except in the last over of the innings when the extra ball and a two run penalty will apply.

13. Balls bowled, bouncing more than twice between the popping crease will be deemed a no ball with a two run penalty.

14. Any team playing an illegible player will be deducted 20 points.

15. The league competition shall be decided by a points and average system. The total number of points gained by each club shall be divided by the number of completed matches played to produce its average. In each league the club with the highest average shall be adjudged the winner. In the event of two clubs finishing with the same average, the club with the greater number of wins shall be the higher placed. If both club clubs have the sa
