Club Chairman Mick Kemp spoke to the club website after the event and was pleased with
the night, he said 'It was possibly one of the best season's of the clubs history. Winners of the the P.D.Q Cars Division
4, Runner's up of the Marshall Hatchick Division 5 and the club's under 12's winners of the Hugh Craig Invitation Cup.
I wish to thank all the club's member's and guest's for attending the night. I would also like to thank the member's for all
their hard work that made this season possible. Finally i would like to thank Debbie (Manager of Saffron Walden Golf Club)
and her staff for a wonderful venue and meal. It is hope in the next few months that a proposed extension to the clubhouse
will be put foward. Once again thank you and enjoy next season where more success hopefully will come our way'
Club Secretary Paul Sheridan also spoke to the website after the event and said, 'Every
end of season report brings with it plenty of fine individual and team achievements and 2007 has been no exception. We achieved
success right across the board starting with Rory Hitchcock and his under 12 side winning the Hugh Craig Invitation Cup. This
was a great team performance by the whole squad. Although the under 15's narrowly missed out on a final place there were strong
performances from Peter Stone, Eddie Hitchcock and Matt Graham. Congratulations to them and also to Peter Bray and Tom
Graham who performed very well at senior level as did all the colts who represented the club in both the P.D.Q and Two Counties
leagues. The Seniors won promotion to Division 4 of the Two Counties league and as champions will also be in the P.D.Q Division
3 for the 2008 season. Monumental performances are always exciting and this year we had a truly amazing season from Dean Bass
who blitzed his way to over 1,200 league runs and over 70 wickets in all forms of cricket. Dean was well supported by skipper
Alan Kemp, Joe Owen and Jack Hudspith in the Two Counties League and there were fine supporting roles from Tom and Matt Graham,
Tom Hobbs and Stuart Thompson in the P.D.Q League. To finish my report i was very encoouraged to see the colts and younger
players make steady progress and play the game in a committed and sportsmanlike mannger. Thanks must go to all the parents,
families, supporters, Little Bardfield Charities and all who generously gave your loyal support and friendship to Little Bardfield
Village Cricket Club. We now look forward to a short rest before we start all over again in April 2008. Many thanks from your
Secretary, Paul Sheridan'.
